A memorial of indented articles of agreement bearing date the fourth day of June one thousand seven hundred and thirty nine effected between

Ulick Browne of Slane in the county of Meath gent of the one part &

Roger North of New Castle in the county Westmeath gent of the other part

whereby

in consideration of a marriage then intended shortly to be had between the said Roger North and Mary Browne youngest daughter of the said Ulick Browne & other considerations therein mentioned

the said Roger North did covt to settle the town and lands of New Castle in the said county of Westmeath contg two hundred and fifty one acres plantation measure with the appurts to the uses in the said articles mentd in wch articles sevl other covts are contd

& wch sd articles are witnessed by Peter Marsh junr of the city of Dublin esqr & Thos Browne of Slane in the county of Meath gent

& this meml is witnessed by the said Thos Browne & Wm Burke of Drumbeg in the county of Limerick gent

in witness whereof the said Ulick Browne hath to this meml put his hand & seal this twentyseventh day of June one thousd seven hundred and thirty nine

The above named Thos Browne came this day before me and made oath that he saw the above named Roger North duly sign seal & execute the above mentioned articles whereof the above writing is a memorial and saw the above named Ulick Browne duly sign & seal the said meml

& that the name Thos Browne subscribed as a witness to the said articles & meml is this deponents proper handwriting

& that he delivered the said articles & meml to Mr Wm Parry Dep Regr on the 27th day of June 1739 instant at or near twelve of the clock in the forenoon of the said day.
