Alice Biggs [#1655], widow, Cappagh, Co. Galway,  and George Burdete Saville, Dub, son & heir of Rev. George Saville, late of Anatrim Q’s Co., deceased, and grandson and heir to Rev. Dan Saville, grants and assigns lands of Cooleors, Co Meath to Theo Wolfe of Dub and Mathew Coates for £1,100.

 

Transcription:

A memorial of an indented deed of assignment dated the first day of May one thousand seven hundd and seventy nine made between

Allice Briggs of Cappagh in the county of Galway widow of the first part

George Burdett Saville of the city of Dublin gent eldest son and heir of the decd Revd George Saville late of Anatrim in the Queens county clerke decd and grandson and heir of the Revd Danl Saville late of the same place deced of the second part

Mathew Coates of Knockanally in the county of Kildare gent of the third part and

Theobd Wolfe of the city of Dublin esqre of the fourth part

whereby

after reciting an indenture of lease dated the eleventh day of Feby one thousand seven hundd and five William Penn Junr of Worminghurst in the county of Mdssex in Great Britain gent did demise unto the said Rvd Danl Saville clerk the lands of Great and Little Coolers in the county of Meath for the three lives therein named with the covenant for perpetual renewal at the yearly rent of forty five pounds and half a years rent fine

and that by deed of lease and release dated the sixteenth and seventeenth days of May one thousand seven hundd and sixty three the said George Saville in considn of seven hundd and twenty six pounds eleven shillings to him paid by the said Allice Briggs did grant and convey unto her heirs & assigns the said premes for the three lives then in being and the survivor of them subject to the said rent and fines for renewal and also subject to redemption on payment of said sum and the interest thereof

in considn of seven hundd pounds ster to the said Alice Briggs in hand paid by the said Mathew Coates being the only sum then due to the said Alice Briggs on the foot of the said security

& in considn of the furr sum of four hundd pounds ster to the said George Burdett Saville in hand also paid by the said Mathew Coates making together one thousand one hundd pounds

and at the instance and request of the said George Burdett Saville and by direction and appointmt of the said Mathew Coates testified as therein mentd and for the other considn therein mentd

the said Allice Briggs and George Burdett Saville did grant assign release unto the said Theobd Wolfe and his heirs all that and those the said towns and lands of Great and Little Cooleors situate in the Barony of Deace and county of Meath with the appurts

to hold to the said Theobd Wolfe his heirs and assigns for the lives and life of the said George Burdett Saville Danl Saville his cousin the only son of Wm Saville deced and Thomas Coates the second son of the said Mathew Coates and the survivor of them and for and during the lives and life of such the person and persons as shall from time for ever be added to said lease pursuant to the covenant for renewal therein contained at the yearly rent fine for renewals covents and agreemts in said lease on the tenants part to be paid and done

and subject to a provisoe or conditn of redemption therein contained on paymt of the said sum of one thousand one hundd pounds sterl and the interest thereof on a day therein mentd

wch said deed and this meml as to the excon thereof by the said Allice Briggs and George Burdett Saville are witnessed by Joseph Briggs of Cappah in the county of Galway gent, second son of the said Allice Briggs and by Michl Harris of the city of Dublin gent clerk and apprentice to John Carroll of the said city of Dublin gent attey at law
